People ask all the time WHY Lan and I teach… it’s not very profitable (we like to keep our workshops cheap)… it takes up a lot of time that we could otherwise use to build our business and get paid well… and it’s not usually the most thankful job. I still love it though. I love knowing that people even WANT to learn from me… that’s a compliment in itself and feels amazing every time. Every workshop attendee, every person in the audience at one of our talks, every time I’m handed a DVD and asked to review someone’s work… it’s all flattering and knowing that I can actually help other people achieve their goals (even though I haven’t achieved my own!) more than makes it all worth it. Contrary to popular belief it’s a selfish thing… giving is… because it makes you feel good… about yourself and about your affect on the world around you. All that being said sometimes we feel REALLY appreciated, and today is one of those days. We got this card in the mail and it affected me and somewhat renewed my enjoyment in giving as much as possible for as long as I can. Thanks Jesse and Christina!
